NU falls to Bellefontaine, rebounds against Shawnee
A quick start in the third quarter by Bellefontaine paved the way to a 50-37 victory over North Union last Tuesday at North Union.
Trailing 19-18 at halftime, the Chieftains (5-6) scored 11 of the first 13 points to open the third quarter and kept the Wildcats (2-5) at bay the rest of the way.
“Bellefontaine came out and made that run early,” North Union Head Coach Austin Terrill said. “I felt we still had a chance, but their zone defense gave us a lot of trouble.”
Bellefontaine led by as much as 13 points in the third quarter, taking its largest lead at 37-24 with just two minutes left in the quarter.
