Hubbs family to donate $500,000 toward new emergency department

On his way out the door as President and CEO of Memorial Health, Chip Hubbs and his wife, Staci, are contributing $500,000 to support the construction of the hospital’s new $56 million emergency department (ED).

Upon completion of the new expansion, it will be named the “Chip & Staci Hubbs Family Emergency Pavilion” in honor of their contribution.

On Wednesday, Memorial announced in a press release that Hubbs would be retiring as president and CEO in 2027 after 23 years of dedicated service. Hubbs led Memorial through significant growth, including the ED renovation and expansion, which is scheduled to break ground later this year.
