Affordable housing solutions elusive

Union County officials heard some informative and, at times, sobering words about the housing crisis regionally and here at home.

Representatives from a wide swath of village, city, county, state and regional organizations met for the first Union County Housing Summit on Dec. 18 at the Automotive and Mobility Innovation Center (AMIC).

While the topic on the table was housing needs and the importance of constructive dialogue, some meeting members got straight to the point about affordability.
