NU pride on full display in 2025 Veterans Day

 

On behalf of North Union area veterans, I want to share my gratitude to our North Union Elementary School for celebrating Veterans Day! Mrs. Tammy Borders (the program organizer for 18 years) and K-5 students provided a resounding 2025 “Veterans Day” program. More than 90 veterans sat in front of the packed gym bleachers. Starting the program the Richwood Area Honor Guard, Larry Nibert, Justin Monroe and Deb Gibson, presented the colors and the Hillyard Hikers led the Pledge of Allegiance. Fifth grade students, under the direction of Miss Sasha Butanis, sang the National Anthem that brought tears to my eyes! Veterans were welcomed by students Reese Miller and Boston Withrow.
