Hope Center eyes future in old warehouse

The Hope Center is eyeing the purchase and renovation of a local warehouse with plenty of history in the city to be its base of operations for all of its services moving forward.

The old Scotts Taylor Plant, 333 N. Maple St., houses a massive interior and exterior area that members are envisioning as the future of the organization. Angie Miller, executive director of the Hope Center, said they are almost ready to begin reshaping the historical plant.

“It’s going to be very primitive but we have to get into a place where we can better serve the community,” Miller said. “As soon as we can get in we will start serving.”
