Late game touchdown by Lakers hands North Union a setback during Homecoming matchup

A Wojam-packed crowd was witness to an outstanding, down-tothe end football game on Friday at North Union.

When everything was settled, it was Indian Lake that made a few more positive plays and defeated the Wildcats 17-14 on NU’s Homcoming.

“I thought it was a great high school football game,” North Union Head Coach Nick Hajjar said. “It was a four-quarter battle, something there is going to be a lot of on our side of the Central Buckeye Conference, and we just didn’t make enough plays.

The Lakers (4-2 overall, 1-0 CBC) scored the game-winning touchdown early in the fourth quarter and then stopped the Wildcats (3-3, 0-1) on two possessions to secure the victory.
