Virginia Ellen (Davis) Jewell

 

Virginia Ellen (Davis) Jewell, 89, of Marysville, passed away peacefully Tuesday, May 27, 2025. She graduated from Byhalia York High School in 1953, and during her high school years she participated in the orchestra, playing violin her sophomore, junior, and senior years, chorus her freshman, sophomore, junior, and senior years, plays her junior and senior years. She worked in the school office her freshman year and was her class treasurer her sophomore year. She also played the piano. As you can see, she loved music. After the COVID shutdown, she was a driving force, encouraging members of her church family to bring back music in the worship services.
