Venezuelans charged in ATM theft face deportation

Two Venezuelan men arrested in Richwood for attempting to crack an ATM are now facing deportation orders.

Renny Moises Sojo-Delgado, 26, and Mario Nicolas Perez, 27, both out of Chicago, Illinois, were taken into custody by the Union County Sheriff’s Department at the request of the Richwood Police Department and charged with safe cracking, possession of criminal tools and unauthorized use of property.

At the regular meeting of Richwood Council on Monday, Chief of Police Jim Hill said that the case is now being turned over to federal authorities after the two Venezuelan men were served deportation orders. “They’ve been looking for these guys,” Hill said, adding that it was the Department of Homeland Security. “They…
