Milford Center artist to be featured in statewide exhibition

A Milford Center artist will be featured in an art exhibition for the “Best of 2025.”

James Mellick is set to have his art featured in the Ohio Designer Craftsmen’s 42nd annual juried exhibition from May 4 to July 5, 2025 at the Ohio Craft Museum, 1665 W. Fifth Ave., Columbus.

Mellick’s wood sculpture, “Ghost Dog,” received the Sue Cavanaugh Memorial Award for Excellence, of which only 16 artists received awards for excellence.

The “Best of 2025” exhibition showcases contemporary fine crafts by 65 artists. Juror Michele Tuegel, founding executive of Florida Craftsmen, Inc., selected 81 works in clay, glass, metal, wood, fiber and mixed media from nearly 400 entries.
