Richwood Bank warns of new scam

The Richwood Bank issued a warning to residents who may have recieved the “unpaid toll” text scam, the latest scam looking to cause panic, trick people to click the link and steal payment information.

“When the IRS, Social Security or a toll authority needs payment, they send you something in the mail – never text,” bank officials said.

If you recieve one of these texts, ignore it, delete it and don’t click the link. Help spread the word by telling friends and famiy so they do not get tricked either.
