Lady Cats have little trouble rushing past Shawnee

Playing for the first time in nine days, the North Union girls basketball did not have any rust despite not being on the court against a team in different-colored jerseys.

Scoring the first 22 points of the game, the Lady Cats went on to roll past Shawnee 66-29 on Monday, Dec. 30, in Central Buckeye Conference play at North Union.

“We were able to do the right things, especially in the first half,” NU Head Coach Mitchell Loomis said.

“Every game we need to come out playing fast to be able to play our game,” sophomore guard Gabby Lindsey said. “Our part of the game is keeping the tempo at the right pace.”
