City and county split of logjam fees set

A final agreement between the city and county is in place regarding funding for the Mill Creek logjam project.

The Union County Commissioners approved the intergovernmental agreement between the county and the City of Marysville, which locks into place the responsibilities for the entities.

Both governments will be using money from the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds to handle the construction portion of the project and with that, funds needed to be appropriated by Dec. 31.

County Administrator Bill Narducci said the agreement not only sets those construction fund parameters but who handles the assessments going forward.
