NU soccer squad falls to Jonathan Alder in road game

Jonathan Alder’s girls soccer squad topped visiting North Union, 7-0.

“We faced a really, really talented team,” NU coach Bill LeRoy said, adding he’s been friends with JA coach Randy Spain for years. “It was a matter of let’s go out and play our game and see what happens.”

Jonathan Alder went into the matchup on the heels of a 1-1 tie with Hamilton Township.

On the other side, the Lady Cats were riding high after a 7-0 victory against Madison-Plains on the same day.

JA senior Maryn Tanferi accounted for a hat trick (three goals) during the game. Her first goal came at the 27:22 mark of the opening half.<...
