NU gridiron squad falls short in CBC matchup against Northwestern, 9-7

The start of Friday’s football game could not have gone much better for North Union in its Central Buckeye Conference contest against Northwestern.

But the good times did not continue for the Wildcats as they suffered a 9-7 loss on their home field.

Nearly all of the first quarter was spent with NU in control of the football.

Taking the ball on their own 25 following the opening kickoff, the Wildcats held possession for nine minutes.

The first play was a 25-yard run by Nick Van-Hoose.

North Union continued to move the ball down the field.
