NU cross country runners place at Mechanicsburg Invite

North Union placed three runners in the top 10 on its way to a third-place finish in the girls race of the Mechanicsburg William B. Saxbe Invitational cross country meet on Saturday.

Kenney Ludwig led the Lady Cats, finishing fourth in the time of 20 minutes, 35.8 seconds.

Lauiren Hall was eighth at 21:53.3 and Kailin McElroy finished ninth at 21:27.

North Union finished with 78 points to finish third. Mechanicsburg was the meet champion with 40 points.

Also running were Savannah Amstutz (17th, 23:10.1), Allana Smith (40th, 26:18.0) and Josie Held (41st, 26:29.3).

Felix Plouck earned a 10th-place slot in the boys race with a time of 17:55.4.

He was followed by Mark Marlette (36th, 19:59.3), Max Leavett (47th, 20:16.1), Jack Hoover (21:06.6), Colton Smith (21:47.7), Drew Chadwell (21:51.5) and Phlip Ardrey (113th, 23:35.5).
