Lady Cats pounce on Madison-Plains

In its best offensive performance since late August, the North Union girls soccer team defeated Madison- Plains 7-0 in non-league play at North Union.

It was the most goals scored by North Union since a 9-4 victory over Marion Harding on Aug. 24.

Kinley Balzer, Leah Matlack and Kale Keigley each scored two goals for the Lady Cats (3-10-2).

“We have been working together as a team and understanding what we need to do,” Balzer said. “As a team we have been having fun and staying positive.”

Balzer scored her first goal in the first two minutes of the opening half.
