Richwood Civic Center

By Susie Pfarr, Executive Director

The Ruth Woods Fun Run, which was held Saturday, Sept. 14, was so much fun! Congratulations to our overall winners Annelysse Mehlhose and Tim Sheeham and to all the other winners in their age groups. Thank you to all our sponsors and those that donated. We appreciate all that made this run a big success.

A reminder to all of the seniors that senior day at the Farmer’s Market is Thursday, Sept. 26. There will be entertainment and a bunch of goodies for our seniors that day.

In October we will be hosting 2 classes here at the Civic Center with the Alzheimer’s Association: Wednesday, Oct. 9, “the Empowered Caregiver: Communicating Effectively” and Wednesday, Oct. 23, “Responding to Dementia Related Behaviors”, both at 6 p.m. If you or someone you care for has dementia, these are 2 classes that will be beneficial to your caregiver team. Please RSVP to the office if you plan on attending. Have a great week!
