It may be a fact little known, but the country close to Richwood has for many years furnished the best ash for making baseball bats to be found in all the world. This ash has been shipped to a large factory, makers of a brand of bats know to every ball player. This fact had a lot to do with the organization of The Richwood Bat Company, a concern recently incorporated. Jack Corbett, president of the company, a man of may years’ base ball experience, conceived the idea of manufacturing bats and other equipment right in the heart of the district supplying the material. The company will manufacture bats, seat slats, wooden implements for games, wooden toys, etc. The company has leased the Gill garage on…
