Lady Cats fall short in Division II postseason matchup against Bloom-Carroll

The end of a sports season can come pretty quickly, especially during tournament time.

It is even more heart-breaking when it comes with the suddenness of a walk-off hit.

That was the end-ofthe- year story for the North Union softball team last Wednesday as it suffered a 1-0 loss at Bloom-Carroll in Division II sectional final play.

Ady Luke’s line-drive single to right scored Allie Martin in the bottom of the seventh inning.

The hit ended an outstanding pitching duel between the Lady Cats’ senior Reese DeCamp and her Lady Bulldog counterpart, sophomore Maddi Walters.
