NU opens track season at Colonel Crawford

North Union opened its track season last Friday at the Grove Keller Invitational at Colonel Crawford High School.

The Lady Cats finished sixth overall, while the boys team placed eighth.

Gabby Lindsey was the top performer on the day, winning the 200 in the time of 27.31 seconds and leading the field in the long jump with a leap of 16-9.75 feet.

She was a member of the third-place 4×800 team (10:37.55) that included Lauren Hall, Savannah Amstutz and Kennedy Ludwig.

Lindsey also teamed with Corajayne DeBoer, Stella Hancock and Riley Heminger to finish fourth in the 4×200 (1:54.97).
