NU baseball falls short, Lady Cats surpass London

North Union’s baseball and softball programs ventured to conference foe London last Thursday.

Wildcats suffer loss

North Union suffered its first baseball loss of the season, losing 10-0 on Thursday at London.

The game was shortened to five innings by the run rule as the Wildcats fall to 2-1 on the season.

North Union was limited to three hits on singles by Tyler Krebehenne, Caden Potts and Ashton Haubiel.

Lady Cats win

London scored two runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to defeat 4-3 in Central Buckeye Conference softball play at London.

The Lady Cats (0-2) scored a run in the third inning on a double by Caralyn Hinkle and two markers in the sixth on a single by Zoe Wedding.

But London tallied twice in the bottom of the sixth inning to cut the lead to 3-2.

Kailin McElroy had two singles for North Union, Kennedy Harrah smacked a triple and Reese DeCamp, Kale Keigley and Ryleigh Rasey each singled.

DeCamp pitched a complete game, allowing four hits, striking out five and walked three.
