March 20:

Bonds aggregating $45,000 will be sold soon by the county to finance the building of five new bridges. Work on the new bridge at Pharisburg has begun. The old bridge at Pharisburg will be removed and placed over Rush Creek in Jackson township, near the new school building. The five new bridges include one on Post road over Little Darby in Union township, one over Blues Creek in Dover township, one over Mill Creek in Liberty township, the Temple bridge over Rush Creek in Jackson township and the Martin Bridge over Blues Creek, on the line between Leesburg and Taylor townships.
