Marysville to provide crisis coordinator to Union County

With a rise in mental health calls for service, Marysville City Council Finance Committee has agreed to help secure a critical incident team (CIT) coordinator for Union County.

Officials from the Mental Health and Recovery Board of Union County (MHRB) were at a recent finance committee meeting to pitch the need and a plan for funding.

Mackenzie Poling, with the Mental Health and Recovery Board of Union County, said the coordinator serves as a support for residents struggling with mental health crises and local law enforcement officials who respond to mental health calls.
