North Union boys basketball tops Fairbanks in Battle of the 614, 53-48

North Union’s Miles Hall had only two threepoint field goals on Monday against Fairbanks, but they were very well the two biggest in the game.

Hall hit both treys in the first 45 seconds of the third quarter and changed the momentum that helped the Wildcats to a 53-48 victory in the Battle of the 614 tournament in Alumni Hall at Ohio Dominican University.

“I wasn’t shooting well in the first half,” Hall said. “I could feel the energy on the team pick up.”

His two field goals gave North Union a 22-21 lead and while Fairbanks was able to stay in contention the rest of the way it could never quite get the momentum fully back on its sid…
