Wildcat bowlers come up short against Pioneers

By Bob Putman, Richwood Gazette

The North Union bowling teams had their top outing of the year, but it was not enough as they each lost to Jonathan Alder.

The girls team lost 2115-2235 while the boys squad lost 2133-2175.

“Even though we didn’t win, I am happy that all teams had their highest score of the year,” Head Coach Matt Donohue said. “Scores are moving up, this is great. We just need to continue to go in this direction over the next two weeks.”

Ryleigh Rasey (351) and Lexi Bahan (350) had the top series. Each of them had a game of 189.

Other NU bowlers were Montana Donohue (343) and Olyvia Frisco (319). Bowling one game each were Emma McCaul (94) and Grace Landon (88).

Jonathan Alder had four individual games of over 200 in the boys match and averaged 203 in the baker game,

Logan Otten had the top series for the Wildcats at 327, Owen O’Reilly and Zach Howald tied for high game at 170.

O’Reilly finished with 310 series while Howald finished at 299. Braden Rhodes totaled 292 and Wyatt Southward (142) and Chase Copas (122) each bowled one game.
