Lady Cats regroup for postseason play, defeat Centennial

Several times during the regular season the North Union volleyball team was playing two or three times during the week.

But before the first tournament game of the season the Lady Cats had some time to refocus, practice and even earn some down time.

North Union dominated from beginning to end in defeating Centennial 25-6, 25-4, 25-9 on Thursday in a sectional final at North Union.

NU Head Coach Alexis Maenz felt her team used the time between the end of the regular season and first tournament to good use.

“We were confident coming into the match and we played that way,” Maenz said. “We had a full week to prepare and reset. That put us in a good spot for this game.”
