AUGUST 17, 1923

Under a new law effective this year physical training must be taught in all public schools of Ohio and preparations are being made to comply with it. The new law requires that each pupil receive at least 100 minutes of instruction a week and requires the teachers to report at the end of the on the kind and the amount of work that is being done along this line. The state is furnishing the manual which will be used in teaching physical training. In the manual is given outlines for setting-up exercises, good posture, supervised play, singing games, athletics, living habits, physical examinations, and age, weight, height measurements.
