Construction of a new sheep barn finished this week at the Richwood Independent Fairgrounds. The new building will be home to just sheep, splitting them from goats. At this year’s fair, sheep and goat exhibitors will have a little more room to breathe.

Construction finished this week on the new sheep barn at the Richwood Independent Fairgrounds.

Fair President Cody Johnston said the new building will give exhibitors much more space.

“We had sheep and goats in the same barn before, this allows each to have their own place,” he said.

Johnston said recent fair participants have grown in numbers.

“Over the last couple of years, fair entries have gone up, which is great for the fair and something we like to see,” Johnston said. “With that, things have…
