Drone used to find NUCFD Lt. after incident

A lieutenant with the Northern Union County Fire Department was arrested last week for a domestic violence charge following an incident at his Richwood-area home.

According to Union County Sheriff’s Office reports, Randall E. Riffle Jr., 48, of 14678 Snyder Road, was charged with domestic violence after deputies responded to a reported domestic disturbance at 9:42 p.m., June 29, at his residence. The incident involved Riffle and his wife. Riffle is listed as a lieutenant with the Northern Union County Fire Department on the department’s website.

Union County Sheriff Mike Justice said Riffle’s wife called 911 and reported that he was throwing rocks at the house and attempting to break inside.
