Sting with Ohio’s violent crime unit results in 11 arrests

A coordinated law enforcement operation targeting violent crime in Cleveland led to 11 felony arrests and the recovery of eight illegally possessed firearms recently, according to Gov. Mike DeWine’s office.

The operation was part of Ohio’s Violent Crime Reduction Initiative, a statewide effort that combines local, state and federal law enforcement resources to target violent offenders and illegal weapons.

Participating agencies included the Cleveland Police Department, Ohio State Highway Patrol, Ohio Investigative Unit, Cuyahoga County Sheriff’s Department and the U.S. Marshals Service.
