Richwood projects funded in state budget

Several projects in Union County, including two in Richwood, are slated to receive state funding after State Rep. Tracy Richardson voted in support of Ohio’s two-year capital budget bill.

The legislation allocates nearly $4 billion for state infrastructure and community improvement projects across Ohio, including more than $200 million for locally sponsored projects.

Among the projects receiving funding in northern Union County are two Richwood-area initiatives. The Richwood Junior Fairgrounds will receive $165,000 for a new restroom facility, while Richwood Lake Park is set to receive $215,000 for playground improvements.
