Growth closes in on Union County Sheriff’s Office training site

Things may soon get a little crowded out by the Union County Sheriff’s Office training facility.
Sheriff Mike Justice told the county commissioners Wednesday that the office may have to put up some fencing to separate the property on U.S. 36 from future development planned to go right next door.
Justice said there are apartments with a walking path planned for an area just next to the office’s training ground that also houses the shooting range.
