Grant will help fund livestock arena

The Richwood Independent Fair is proud to announce it has received a transformational $250,000 grant through the Richard “Buzz” Sampson, Martha E. Marsh and Cynthia Lynn Sampson Farm Endowment Fund of the Union County Foundation to support the construction of a new 80×120-foot livestock arena pavilion at the fairgrounds. The project will also include a $50,000 match contribution from the Richwood Independent Agricultural Society, further demonstrating the community’s commitment to investing in local youth and agriculture.

Construction on the new pavilion is expected to begin this summer to be complete by the 2026 Fair and will create a permanent space dedicated to the youth of Richwood…
