Lady Cats’ hoopsters Blevins and Harrah named all-state

North Union girls basketball team finished undefeated in the CBC Mad River Division for the fifth-straight season. The Lady Cats ended the season with a 19-3 record.

Despite an opening round tournament loss, the accolades continued to pour in as Glory Blevins and Kennedy Harrah were named to the all-state team. Blevins was named Special Mention All-State. The sophomore finished fourth in the CBC averaging 15.9 points per game.

Blevins also finished fourth in the conference in field goal percentage; 48 percent as well as steals per game; 3.3. Blevins built off a solid freshman campagin where she averaged 12 points a game, good for top 10 in the conference. Harrah was named Honorable Mention All-State. The senior guard averaged 13.9 points per game, good for sixth in the conference. Harrah finished first in the CBC in free throw percentage, knocking down 80 percentage on the season. Harrah leaves the program after a successful career, eclipsing 1,000 points.
