Lady Cats notch pair of wins over Bloom-Carroll, Graham

North Union reached the halfway point of the Central Buckeye Conference league girls basketball schedule.

The first half has gone very well for the Lady Cats as they have won all five of their Mad River Division games.

The latest victory came last Saturday on the home hardwood against Graham, which came into the game unbeaten in league play.

For most of the first three quarters, a fifth league triumph was not a guarantee for North Union.

But the Lady Cats (11-1 overall, 5-0 CBC) pulled away in the fourth quarter to post a 68-51 win over the Falcons (7-3, 4-1).

All year long North Union has tried to keep the game at a fast pace, hoping to wear down the opponent.Read this entire article as it appeared in print in our eEdition
