By Bob Putman, Richwood Gazette

Members of North Union’s football program received honors as the Ohio Prep Sports Media Association recently announced its All-Ohio teams lists.

In Division V, North Union’s Griffin Osborne was a first-team selection as a defensive back.

Osborne, a senior for the Wildcats, led the CBC in interceptions with seven and totaled 71 tackles.

He also was a big contributor on offense, rushing for 906 yards, adding 528 receiving yards and scoring 15 touchdowns, and on special teams as a kick returner.

Several others also earned All-Ohio recognition.

North Union’s Nickolas Hajjar was selected second team on defense as a defensive back while senior teammate Nick VanHoose was third team on offense and senior defensive lineman Gavin Potts was honorable mention.

Hajjar had 67 tackles and two interceptions, VanHoose gained 1395 rushing yards and Potts finished with 53 tackles.
