NU basketball teams pick up wins against Benjamin Logan

An explosive first half led North Union to a 70-25 victory over Benjamin Logan on Saturday at Benjamin Logan.

The Lady Cats (6-1) scored 19 points in the first quarter and followed that with a 31-point outburst in the second quarter as they led 50-14 at the half.

With a running clock in the entire second half, North Union outscored Benjamin Logan 20-11.

The Lady Cats connected on 27 of their 50 field goal attempts, including hitting eight-of-18 from behind the three-point line.

Kennedy Harrah paced North Union with a gamehigh 18 points, while also hitting double figures were Glory Blevins (17) and Kailin McElroy (13).
