NU runners claim conference title, Lady Cat takes first in Mad River race
The North Union boys cross country team picked up a team trophy and Kailin McElroy earned an individual honor on Saturday in the Central Buckeye Conference championships at Benjamin Logan. The Wildcats took first place in the Mad River Division, finishing with 140 points. Overall, the Wildcats were in fourth place.
Felix Plouck led North Union as he finished ninth in the time of 16 minutes, 40.9 seconds. Ben Bonnell was 12th in the time of 17:00.8. Also running were Jack Hoover (35th, 18:17.9), Mack Marlette (36 th, 18:20.3), Colton Smith (62nd, 19:34.3), Zach Meyer (70th, 20:13.8) and Drew Chadwell (79th, 20:53.2).

McElroy was the first Mad River Division runner to finish, crossing the line in the time of 20:06.0. She was fourth overall.
Also running for the Lady Cats was Josie Held, who finished 57th in the time of 25:30.6.
