Some of North Union’s fall programs now have a better idea of what the postseason has in store.
The Lady Cats made history as a result of the Central District girls soccer drawing that was held on Sunday.
For the first time the Lady Cats (8-6-1), seeded fifth, will host a tournament game and will be playing a team they went up against just last week.
They will be playing Bishop Ready (5-6-1), which was seeded seventh, at 7 p.m. on Oct. 14 in a Division IV sectional final.
The two teams played each other at North Union on Oct. 2. The Lady Cats posted a 3-1 victory.
North Union’s volleyball program earned an eighth seed in Division V. As of last Tuesday, The Lady Cats have an overall record of 13-6.
Fairbanks will be at home for a district semifinal at 6 p.m. on Oct. 21 against either the Lady Cats or Columbus Academy (11-9), the 10th seed.
North Union (13-6) plays a home sectional final against Academy at 6 p.m. on Oct. 14.
