North Union’s clock management pays off with narrow triumph over Benjamin Logan
It is not often a drive that does not end in a score can be looked at as a team’s best drive of the game.
That, however, may have been the case for North Union on Friday as the Wildcats traveled to Benjamin Logan for a Central Buckeye Conference game.
Leading 14-13, the North Union defense forced the Raiders into a three-and-out and following a punt took over at its own 30 with just over nine minutes left in the fourth quarter.
The Wildcats (4-3 overall, 1-1 CBC) then used a punishing ground attack to run off 15 plays that took nearly eight minutes off the clock.
