NU hosts cross country invitational

North Union finished in second place in the boys meet of the North Union Invitational cross country meet on Saturday.

The Wildcats finished with 21 points to finish three points behind Bucyrus.

North Union was led by Ben Bonnell (sixth place, 16:18.13) and Felix Plouck (seventh place, 16:23.16).

Other runners for the Wildcats were Jack Hoover (11th, 17:11.34), Mack Marlette (14th, 17:20.60), Zach Meyer (20th, 17:57.03), Colton Smith (35th, 19:43.62), Phillip Ardrey (42nd, 20:06.16) and Wyatt Roby (23:29.47).

Kenton won the girls meet with 10 points with Marion Harding in second with 14 points.

North Union was not able to field a full team, but had a top 10 finisher.

Kailin McElroy was seventh in the time of 20:30.59.

Josie Held also ran and finished 27th in the time of 25:02.
