Lady Cats for 2-1 in Elgin Classic volleyball tournament

In most cases teams play one varsity volleyball match in a night.

But occasionally there is a spot on the schedule when teams will play multiple matches in a day.

Such was the case last Saturday as North Union played three matches in the Elgin Volleyball Classic.

A normal match is bestof- five but for the tournament a best-of-three format was used.

Knowing there will be three matches to be played senior hitter Lexi Wills said it was important to stay focused during the day.

“I try to keep my energy up and keep myself going,” Wills said. “We knew there were a bunch of good teams here and each match you want to come in with the same intensity.”
