Pair of NU linksmen finish in top four spots, lead team to first place finish in Marion Harding Invite

Ethan Monroe and Jaxon Jolliff each finished in the top four individually and led the North Union boys golf team to a first-place finish on Friday in the Marion Harding Invitational at Marion Country Club.

It was a battle right down to the wire as the Wildcats finished with final count of 338, one stroke better than River Valley and 13 strokes ahead of third-place Pleasant.

Monroe led North Union with a score of 82 to finish third individually and Jolliff was fourth with a score of 83.

Alex Jolliff totaled an 85 and was followed by Hudsyn Wilon (88), Jenson Stover (101) and Austin McMahon (102).

In a match played on Thursday, North Union lost 172-176 to Indian Lake at Darby Creek.

Monroe led the Wildcats with a score of 41 and was followed by Jaxon Jolliff (42), Jenson Stover (46), Alex Jolliff (47), Braylen Riffle (57) and Josiah Stover (66).
