Lady Cats pounce on Indian Lake
The growth of the North Union girls soccer team took another step on Monday.
The Lady Cats spotted Indian Lake an early lead but roared back with four firsthalf goals and went on to a 7-2 victory over the Lakers on Monday at North Union.
The victory upped North Union’s season mark to 4-0-1 and 1-0 in the Central Buckeye Conference. It also ended a 26-game CBC winless streak.
“I liked the way we stood up after giving up them first goal,” NU Head Coach Bill LeRoy said. “It was a gutcheck moment. The Lakers (1-3, 1-0) scored eight minutes into the opening half on a goal by Harley Kinninger, but less than a minute later the Lady Cats scored a tying goal.
