Lady Cats improve to 2-0 in regular season

Getting off to its best start in school history, the North Union girls soccer team made it two-for-two to start the season.

Following a season-opening 7-0 win over Madison- Plains on Saturday, the Lady Cats continued their winning ways on Monday with a 9-2 win over River Valley at North Union.

It is the first time North Union has started the season 2-0 and also the first time it has had a two-game winning streak.

“Our team culture is a lot better this year,” senior Kale Keigley said. “We just know each other’s strengths and weaknesses.”

Keigley tallied three goals for the Lady Cats, which in most cases would lead the team.
