Marysville man charged with stabbing family member
A Marysville man was arrested Sunday night after allegedly stabbing his stepfather multiple times following a domestic dispute.
The suspect, Samuel Matthew McNeely, 22, of Marysville, has been charged with one count each of felonious assault with a deadly weapon of the second degree, felony domestic violence of the fourth degree and operating a vehicle while intoxicated (OVI).
According to the Union County Sheriff’s Office, at 6:59 p.m., Sunday, a 911 call was received from a separate family member at a home in the 19000 block of Cotton Slash Road reporting a domestic dispute between McNeely and his stepfather. The dispute eventually turned into an altercation.
