Wildcats attend first passing scrimmage of the 2025 offseason against Johnstown

In its first passing scrimmage, North Union’s gridiron squad found ways to make plays.

The Wildcats ventured to Ohio Wesleyan University last Monday for a 7-on-7 scrimmage against Johnstown. It was the team’s first look against an opposing offense and defense this offseason.

Despite some mistakes on both sides of the ball, North Union Head Coach Nick Hajjar was pleased with what the crew was able to produce.

“I thought the kids competed hard on both sides of the ball,” he said. “we practiced earlier this morning so for them to come out here and compete again on the turf was good.”

Hajjar commented there were “a lot of good things [and] a lot of things that need cleaned …
