From Union County Sheriff’s Office reports:
In the 20000 block of Route 47 at 2:52 p.m., June 27, a deputy investigated a property damage crash involving a 2008 Ford Focus that struck a 2015 Honda Civic on private property. A report was taken.
A deputy assisted the Richwood Police Department and units from the Northern Union County Fire and EMS District in locating a man that was possibly drowning on Fulton Street in the village at 5:12 p.m., June 28. Richwood police handled the investigation.
Deputies were sent to a home on May Street in Magnetic Springs June 28 to help settle a domestic dispute between several family members at 9:41 p.m. The involved parties were separated and no report was taken.
Units from the Northwestern Fire District and deputies were dispatched to a residence on Magnetic Street at 11:10 p.m., June 28, in Magnetic Springs, for a fight involving multiple residents from the building and a possible dog bite. One male was transported to Union County Memorial for injuries and a report was taken.
At 12:38 a.m., June 29, deputies were sent to a home in the 15000 block of Route 47 to investigate a domestic dispute between husband and wife. A report was taken.
On June 29, a deputy was sent to a home in the 31000 block of Woodland Road to investigate harassing phone calls at 11:43 a.m. No report was taken.
On Graham Street in Richwood, a deputy assisted a Richwood police officer with a domestic dispute at 9:31 p.m., June 29.
Deputies were sent to a residence in the 15000 block of Myers Road at 10:19 p.m. and 11:39 p.m., June 29, to investigate a dispute between household members. No report was taken.
A deputy took possession of a smartphone that was found at the intersection of Miller Road and Route 47 at 10:53 a.m., June 30. A report was taken.
A trespassing complaint involving an all-terrain vehicle was investigated June 30 in a field in the area of Bear Swamp Road and Benton Road at 4:08 p.m. No report was taken.
On Rose Street in Magnetic Springs on June 30, a deputy spoke with a resident at 8:21 p.m. to investigate a dispute between parents over custody of children. No report was taken.
The Richwood Police Department was assisted by a deputy with a potential menacing complaint at a business on West Ottawa Street on July 2 at 10:01 a.m. Richwood police handled the investigation.
In the 22000 block of Route 347 on July 2, a deputy investigated a dispute between an ex-boyfriend and ex-girlfriend over personal property at 11:37 a.m. No report was taken.
At 8:15 p.m., July 2, a deputy spoke with a resident via phone call from Main Street in Magnetic Springs, regarding a custody dispute. No report was taken.
A deputy met with a Richwood police officer to take custody of Kathryn R. Byrum, 33 of Richwood, for an outstanding arrest warrant at 7:36 a.m., July 3 and then transported her to the Marysville Municipal Court where she was released on bond.
Ashley A. Gruber, 38, of Magnetic Springs, was cited for disorderly conduct following a dispute between two females on South Main Street in Magnetic Springs at 3:13 p.m., July 3. Deputies handled the scene and the parties were separated.
Deputies and units from the Northwestern Joint Fire District, Northern Union County Joint Fire Department, Marysville Fire Department, Radnor Township Fire Department, Pleasant Township Fire Department, Battle Run Fire Department, Scioto Valley Fire District and the Delaware County EMS District responded to a property in the 10000 block of Fulton Creek for a barn fire at 8:39 p.m., July 3. The fire was contained and the Northwestern Joint Fire District handled the report.
A deputy met with a Marion County deputy to take custody of Robert W. Osborn, 37, of Marion, for an outstanding arrest warrant at 5:05 a.m., July 4. He was transported to the Tri-County Regional Jail.
A deputy met with a Marion County deputy to take custody of Jacob S. Armstrong, 25, of Marion, for an outstanding arrest warrant at 10:10 p.m., July 4. He was transported to the Tri-County Regional Jail.
From Ohio State Highway Patrol reports:
Aaron F. Penney, 32, of Richwood, was cited for failure to control and arrested for OVI following an injury crash. At 3:30 p.m., July 1, Penney was driving a 2016 Ford F-150 southeast on Route 347 when he ran off the road, crossed the center line and struck a tree. He was treated for minor injury by Leesburg EMS on-scene and was deemed under the influence of alcohol.
From Marysville Division of Police reports:
Wayne Schultz, 80, of Richwood, was cited for failure to have full attention following a property damage crash. At 9:50 a.m., July 2, Schultz was driving a 2016 Ford F-150 and stopped facing west at the intersection of Morey Drive and London Avenue when he backed up away from London Avenue and struck a 2022 Chevrolet Malibu sitting behind him.
