Reimagining the fairgrounds

With the Union County fair arriving at the end of the month, residents will flock to the fairgrounds for a week full of fun and festivities.

But once the fair wraps up, what happens to the fairgrounds for the rest of the year? While many might assume the space simply lays dormant until the next fair, Christina Rausch wants the community to know there’s much more going on.

“The fairgrounds hold many police and fire training, health clinics, car shows, celebrations of life and birthday parties,” Rausch said.
