During the regular meeting of Richwood council on Monday, Richwood Mayor Scott Jerew stressed that brush chipping is to be used for fallen branches only.

“We’ve got people that are cutting complete trees down and leaving stumps,” Jerew said.

He said that brush chipping is an opportunity given by the village to clean up yards after the storms, not cut down trees.

“We need to make sure that we are only putting branches that fall out of the trees out for the guys to clean up because they’ve got enough to do,” Jerew said.
